- Presidential Park Elementary School, a brand new state-of-the-art 210,000 square foot building, is the largest elementary school built in New York State.
- The two-story building includes individual heating and cooling units and controls, bathrooms in all first floor classrooms, plus a cafeteria and gymnasium on each floor.
- Our use of 3D BIM allowed the MEP trades to closely coordinate.
- The project was completed over a two-year timeframe that included 15 prime contractors. Armistead managed its own team of subcontractors.
- The building is energy efficient from the outside envelope down to the mechanical systems and is fully automated with Siemens’ equipment. The school district has applied for certification from CHPS – Collaborative for High Performance Schools.
